Cancer survivor

Obviously the article Lyle says cancer is in remission is about Jarrod Lyle recovering from cancer. Some people may just think “Oh that’s good, I’m happy for him,” but for others it’s different. There can be a number of things people can take out of this part, including me. Jarrod Lyle is a professional golfer who announced that he is in remission for cancer for the third time. To me that’s amazing, because my older brother survived cancer and plays golf as a hobby. I don’t completely understand what it’s like to go through cancer because I was young when my brother was going through all of it. I can only imagine. Lyle went through cancer three times and is still able to play golf professionally, to me that’s pretty darn cool. By putting this information on social media is able to show to the world that cancer is beatable and you can be strong enough to do what you love.

Girl's perspective on social media

The article Girls On Social Media talks about how much of an influence social media has on the confidence of girls, which I believe depends on the girl herself. If you’re a person who does not like your appearance in the mirror, you’ll have a problem seeing other girls on social media. Now if you’re fine with the way you look, your perspective on social media would not affect you. Instead of wishing you could look like the person in the picture, you just think that she is pretty and nothing else. You might even like what she is wearing, which comes into play about how social media can help companies market their products. If someone wants to look like the person in the picture, they’ll be very interested in what he or she is wearing. Or you could just really like the clothing the person is wearing. Either way, this can be a cruel or just another good way of marketing one’s products.

Zayn Malik's Social Media Opinion

In the website Eye Witness News, there was an article posted yesterday by
BANG Showbiz regarding Zayn Malik's position on social media. He talks about how social media influences people to be "followers rather than leaders." He is halfly right. I do agree with what he's saying, some people do choose to follow instead of taking charge, but not everyone. Some people will in fact decide to change things and become a leader, I will use myself as an example. I've seen countless people go through hard times throughout Instagram and Facebook, some of which I've gone through. Instead of pitying them, I message them directly and help them with what they're going through. (with their consent of course) In doing so, I am not someone who 'follows' but someone who 'leads.' I'm not the only one, I see a lot of people doing the same. I also see the same amount being a 'follower.' So I can see where Malik is coming from, but we can not just see one side of the picture. It's like a line i read from a book: "Life isn't just rainbows and butterflies, but it can be better." There will always be war, there will always be peace treaties, and that's life. It just depends on what you make of it. If you only see the bad in something like social media, that's all you think when you hear it. I believe the only problem with it is that some people use it in the wrong way, which will always happen too. It just takes the right words to change it for better. Not the right person, because there may never be such a person, but the right words. This does, however, prove how important social media is.

Huda Beauty cosmetic line

For today's blog, I have chosen to talk about a beauty cosmetic line called Huda Beauty. I first was introduced to this company through their Instagram page. I think this company is very successful at getting their products known because they started with Instagram, which Huda knew was becoming very trendy at the time. From what I've seen from Huda Kattan, she seems very honest, caring, and trustworthy when it comes to giving her opinions on products she uses as well as talking about her Botox experiences on her stories. She never fails to give 100% honesty from the best places for Botox to which product isn't worth the money it's priced as. Not only are her critiques trustworthy but so are her products. I don't believe I have ever heard or read something negative about any of the products she releases. My personal favorite from Huda Beauty is the textured eyeshadow palette Rose Gold Edition. I love the variety of matte colors along with the shimmers that she includes. Every tutorial I see using that palette is so beautiful to me and I can't help but wish I had it too. I believe Huda Beauty has made the most success from Instagram more than their other social media accounts. Instagram, currently, is the most used social media platform. Reason being is because the company is able to post pictures and videos about their products as well as repost makeup tutorials of other people using the products. They also can place their online website within their bio in their profile, giving everyone and anyone access to buy Huda Beauty's products.
