I was so upset while reading this article, but happy too. There is more than one reason why I was happy. One: the article was truthful to the FGM procedure (I don't wish to explain it). Two: people are standing up against it with their hashtag #MeTooFGM. There are also more reasons that one as to why I am upset. I am upset with myself for not knowing about it and the fact that this is an actual thing. No, I can not change tradition and yes that is disrespectful. There are many things I can not change but this will be added to my list of things I can only wish to change.
