Social Media And The Brain

While reading this article, it did caused me to hesitate and re-look at some of its statements. One of the "facts" (I'll explain the air quotes after) includes Instagram and Snapchat are the two worst social media platforms for those with mental illnesses. I wasn't so sure about this because I too am one of those people and I don't have the problems that this article talks about with the platforms. That's why I put quotations around fact because it seems just a little opinionated to my eyes. Don't get me wrong, the evidence it provides is true itself, but like I said the statement doesn't seem like a FACT to me. If you don't understand, let me put it this way: when people going through rehab see something that taunts them to do that one thing they're trying to get away from, that person has or could not have the power to look away. My point being it's not ENTIRELY the platform's fault.
